The Cots 4 Tots story

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a non-profit foundation that supports the Marine Corps' annual toy drive. It offers administrative, financial, logistical, and promotional support for local Toys for Tots coordinators, in addition to a variety of services that the Marine Corps is unable to provide. It also distributes educational and informational materials to the general public, arranges for national corporations to incorporate information about Toys for Tots into their paid advertisements, and conducts an annual program of education for the public and public relations.

Cots 4 Tots began in 2010 as a fundraising campaign for Bristol's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael's Hospital. The charity has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds since its inception, helping families with sick and premature babies in the West of England and South Wales. Its work includes providing accommodation for families in houses as well as providing the latest equipment for the NICU.

Cots for Tots House is a "home away from home" for families who are in hospital. It is located right next to the NICU which allows parents to be close to their children. Since 2012 the charity has assisted more than 2100 families stay at the house.

Families who stay at Cots For Tots House are reassured they are not on their own. They can discuss their experiences with other parents experiencing the same thing.  Cot Bed  have access to a range of facilities to make their stay as pleasant as is possible.

The charity also supports musicians who visit the NICU to ease stress and pain for both parents and their babies. This has been proven to improve the quality of life for the patients and their families. Music therapy can reduce the amount needed to treat children, thereby saving hospitals time and money. The therapist uses specially-designed resonant instruments that are tuned to certain frequencies and play soothing tunes for infants. Additionally the resonant instruments produce vibrations that can relax parents and fathers.

The Cots 4 Tots website

The Cots 4 Tots website is the home of a special charity that raises money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael's Hospital in Bristol. The charity is a part of Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal and also funds Cots for Tots House, which offers the benefit of a free "home from home" accommodation to families with children who are being treated in the neonatal intensive care unit. It has helped hundreds of families over the last decade.

Abbey Silvester's two children, Alfie and Mollie, both spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit at St Michael's Hospital. She says Cots for Tots was "an absolute Godsend", and her family and her would not have been capable of coping without it. "You meet new friends here, you create a community and love amongst each other," said she. "Without it who knows what our lives would have been like."

The choice of the best crib for your baby is an important decision. There are a variety of sizes and styles to choose from which is why you should think about what you need long-term. A cot must be strong and have railings that are sturdy. It should also be easy to clean and come with a removable mattress. Some cots come with an adjustable height base, which is ideal for families with young children.

Moving can be stressful for everyone, but it's particularly challenging for new parents who have to deal with the added stress of a baby. But, by making some important preparations and hiring a vehicle transport service early to ensure that your move goes without a hitch.
